ABOUT VALUE BY DESIGN

VALUE BY DESIGN introduces value streams in a cooperative game-based learning. It is anticipated that during the game, there will be plenty of discussion about the value contributors and the insights needed to activate them.

The game is not intended as a step by step guide on a specific value stream, rather as an example of how value stream thinking can be practically applied. It effectively illustrates a holistic approach that puts the value stream, its contributors, and required insights, at the core of understanding and steering what it takes to meet, and exceed, your customers’ expectations.

FEATURED VALUE STREAM

The base game comes with the Deliver service value stream, identifying 5 value phases of delivering an IT service. It includes many of the key value contributors that build into a reliable service and a satisfied customer.

Minimal use of plastics

The game is available to purchase online. It is printed to order so may take a few weeks to arrive.

The games are produced in the US.

The environment is important to us so, as much as possible, we minimise the amount of plastic used in our games, with the majority of components being card or wood. VALUE BY DESIGN has no plastic component other than the plastic bags used by the supplier.

Running a game session

VALUE BY DESIGN is a board gamed for up to 8 players. It cane be played as fully co-operative or semi co-operative. It is recommended to allow 60-120 minutes for the game itself, depending on the number of participants, and a further hour for initial setup and post-game reflections and discussions, though the nature of the game does encourage discussion during the game itself. Minimum table size 120cm x 120cm.

UPGRADE! online

The online version faithfully reproduces the physical game with zero setup time. Sessions can be saved and resumed later if needed.
